We all know that finding the time to eat is hard enough, but making sure every meal has the right ratio of proteins, calories, vitamins, fats, and minerals is nearly impossible. When you are finished with your killer Dogpound workout, don’t have a lot of time for lunch, or are simply on the go, consider dressing up your basic protein shake with some mango, nut butter and bee pollen!


Full of the all important B complex vitamins, as well as folic acid–both of which are very important ESPECIALLY for anyone on a Vegetarian Diet–bee pollen can help increase energy, reduce inflammation, and it tastes great. Try adding it to oatmeal or smoothies. Warning: Do not ingest bee pollen if you have any pollen allergies or are allergic to bees.

1/4 cup cubed frozen mango

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1/2 tsp vanilla

1 Tbsp lime juice

1 Tbsp almond butter

2 scoops vanilla hemp protein powder

1/2 tsp bee pollen

Mix all ingredients together. Garnish with additional bee pollen, hemp seeds and a wedge of lime!
